Grants differ by region
Flanders uses Mijn VerbouwPremie, Brussels uses Renolution, and Wallonia uses the Primes Habitation. Which desk applies to you depends on where your home is located — not where you live. So always start at the right regional desk.
Check the conditions before you begin
Most grants require a registered contractor, minimum technical requirements (e.g. a minimum insulation value) and sometimes an income condition. Often you only apply after the work and with your final invoice. So read the conditions before you start the work — you can't fix it afterwards.
Keep your documents
Keep invoices, contractor certificates and your EPC. A grant application lives or dies on supporting documents. A folder (digital or physical) per measure saves you a lot of searching later.
Combine wisely
Some grants can be stacked, others exclude each other or share a cap. And a higher EPC label or carrying out several measures together can increase the grant amount. Look at the whole, not each measure separately.
