Underestimated costs
Industry sources recommend a 15–20% reserve for unforeseen work — more for homes built before 1970, due to hidden damp, asbestos or ageing pipes. DomiReno calculates with an honest range (±15-25%), separates essential from optional and lets you add your own buffer items.
Missed grants
Grants differ by region and by measure, each with their own conditions and deadlines — easy to miss exactly the one that applies. DomiReno shows which schemes apply at your address, with estimated amount, condition and deadline.

Calculating our own energy-label score would be a touch too bold: that remains the work of a certified energy expert. We only indicate the direction — no official label.

Every grant linked to the right category.
No vague total. We break the grants estimate down per category — roof, heat pump, windows — and link each item to the specific scheme (Mijn VerbouwPremie, OVAM, Total-renovation bonus) and the correct income bracket. The regime change of 1 March 2026 is automatically applied to the estimate based on the calculation date.
Region-aware: for Flanders and Wallonia we calculate exactly today (Mijn VerbouwPremie and Primes Habitation 2025-2026). Brussels (Renolution suspended since January 2025) is honestly shown as not-awarded — see status strip on the right.

- How accurate is the budget?
- We cross-validate unit prices against 5 Belgian sources and explicitly state a margin of ±15–25 %. No miracle precision: an honest benchmark.
- Are grants calculated per region?
- For Flanders and Wallonia, yes — we apply Mijn VerbouwPremie (Flanders) and Primes Habitation (Wallonia, 2025-2026 regime) per category based on income bracket and invoice percentage. Brussels Renolution grants have been suspended since 1 January 2025 due to budgetary pressure; once awarding resumes, Brussels is automatically back in the estimate. The regional status appears at the top of the result as soon as you enter a postcode.
